How I’m working for you!

I always think its useful for clients and potential clients to understand what working with a recruitment professional like myself is all about, and help to understand what do we do.

In my experience THE most important aspect of any recruitment brief is having a full understanding of exactly what the client wants and needs are, not only experience and skill set, but also personality type. Without this everybody’s time is wasted because the client is more likely to receive unqualified, inexperienced, and unsuitable CV’s,  which will cause understandable frustration! So understanding the brief is a crucial element to the success of a recruitment process.

We will then source Candidates through several different means, from advertising, CV Searching, CV Watchdogs, LinkedIn, existing Candidates and referrals.

Obviously, the main part of any campaign is ensuring the clients see the best Candidates available, which means sifting through a lot of applicants and CV’s to ensure the best possible match on paper.

Once we have a suitable potential match on paper, we then spend time carrying out an extensive telephone interview and build up a background and notes to accompany the CV, our job is to build up a background and have a clearer understanding of the Candidate and their suitability for the position.  Therefore,  we take time to understand where they are in their career, why they are looking for a new position, what is their current salary and benefits and what are they looking for in a new position, and much more.

If at this stage we feel they are a suitable match for the position, we will then discuss the opportunity with them and give them as much detail as possible.  Checking their interest levels along the way to ensure that we are sending across not only a well-matched Candidate, but also an individual that is generally interested and excited in the position.

Our job is then to arrange interviews between both parties as smoothly as possible; gaining feedback from both parties and manage the process and any potential negotiations through to either a successful conclusion or to understand the reasons an applicant wasn’t successful and use these for further candidate sourcing.

That’s a fairly short explanation of the process, which can of course veer off in many different directions along the way! If you would like to know more, then get in touch HERE
